Scypha is commonly called "sycon". Genus of marine sponges. Characterized by a fingerlike body shape known as the syconoid type of structure.

Habitat : It is marine, sedentry colonical sponge found attached to rocks etc. Below low tide mark. It is commonly called sycon or urn sponge.

Habits :

Locomotion: It is absent to sedentry mode of life.
